Louisville Water’s Customer Service Department made sure kids in need were ready for the first day of school.
Over the summer, customer service representatives collected school supplies for the Home of the Innocents, a foster-care facility.
Customer Service Representative Shenita Hutchings said the department netted more than half a dozen backpacks and several boxes of crayons, pencils, and notebooks.
The supplies were well received by Stephen Williams, director of grants engagement at the Home of the Innocents. Williams is pictured above on the far right.
“Back to school is such an important time. This is extremely helpful to our work and we are very appreciative,” Williams wrote in a thank-you note.
Louisville Water Vice President of Human Resources Terrence Spence, Engineer Kimberly Thomas and Hutchings dropped off the supplies Monday afternoon.
