Sharing an important health message

Louisville Water continues to promote the importance of handwashing throughout the community. The photo at right shows a Clean Hands Up! lesson in an amphitheater at the Parkland Boys and Girls Club.

Louisville Water Community Relations Specialists Barbara Crow and Robert Calloway led the instruction.

“Children were socially distanced and most wore masks although it was not required if they were apart and outdoors,” Crow said.

The children learned about the importance of frequent handwashing as well as the best ways to make sure they get their hands completely clean.

Crow pointed out that the blue carpet squares the children are sitting on were provided by Louisville Water’s Grounds Maintenance Department.

“It’s a carpet we no longer use, and they donated the squares to help with social distancing,” Crow said. “They’re great for our outdoor classroom.”
