Meet our new VP of IT

“I came to work at Louisville Water primarily because I knew — through someone who already worked here — that this is a company that cares about its employees,” said Jeff Knott, who began serving as Louisville Water’s Vice President of Information Technology (IT) on April 6.

He has more than three decades of IT experience. With a BS in Computer Science from Troy University in Alabama and an MBA from Bowling Green State University in Ohio, Knott has led major IT projects at several organizations, including Dana Holding Corporation, CSC, and Cummings, Inc.

“I felt my work experiences at other companies could be an asset at Louisville Water and am excited for the opportunity to join the team,” Knott said. He added that he also was drawn to work for the company because it “cares about its customers and continues to strive to improve services.”

Knott lives in Jeffersonville, Indiana, with his wife of 26 years, Jane. “We have three grown children and six grandchildren,” he said. “At home we have two dogs — a goofy, lovable boxer mix named Buddy and a psycho, neurotic Jack Russell mix named Jack.”

He plans to ensure Louisville Water’s IT department is “more integrated into the business teams so that we can better align and support the company’s efforts in the future. I look forward to being a part of these efforts.”
